SHojin RYori
House room restaurant

I am Japanese, born & grew up in Tokyo, and now am living in the Netherlands. I am basically giving cooking workshops. Some of my workshop customers want to eat results without the workshop. Some of my workshop customers recommended me to open Huiskamer restaurant (house room restaurant). Thus I start serving Shojin ryori. I learned Shojin ryori under a Buddhist monk when I was in Japan. Shojin ryori is vegan cooking based on a precept of “prohibit killing”. Various vegetables are prepared according to the season due to enjoying seasonal foods.
